We have been informed that ooNuba, Khweli, Civashe, Jukuca, Ntshuca are Bhaca. Do you perhaps have a clearer understanding of where the Nuba clan fit into the Bhaca people?

The Nuba people have also been linked to the Nuba people from Sudan. Apparently, they came with the King of Amampondo as the fighters and cattle herders. Do you perhaps have knowledge of this?

firstly id like to add that the bhaca pepole are not under the xhosa’s or the zulus isbhaca or the bhaca culture is a mixture of zulu, xhosa and isiswati. the swati influence comes from king ncaphayi’s wife who is decendant from abalambo from my question or request is to find out where the chiliza people fit in

The fact of the matter is that there is no written history about all this stuff. Therefore we can only rely on oral tradition. From what I have heard from my elders so for, i find this information very disjointed, manufactured and completely inaccurate, its comical. And please stop making Ncapayi greater than he was. Lies. Ncapayi went there because he needed protection from Faku. He actually claimed that his father (Madzikane) had endorsed Bhacas merging with Faku. There is no evidence that Madzikane wanted that. Long story short, Ncapayi’s sabbatical to Pondoland didt last long, as him and Faku had a fall-out which led to his death there. When he died eMampondweni and guess who led amaBhaca aseMbondzeni in his absence? Real Bhaca warriors, the Mjolis, Chiyas, Siwelas and so forth. Once Faku realised that Ncapayi was dead, he attacked Mount Frere. But the warriorsI mentioned defended the Bhaca nation. Its the battle of Nophoyi I’m talking about here. All in all, Faku weakened the Bhaca nation and for a long time after his death it had no leader. These chiefs/warriors I mentioned above (Wushe/Mjoli, Chiya, Siwela ) held it together. One more thing, there was no battle eNtsizwa between Shaka and Madzikane, Shaka’s army died as a result of the snowfall. So people must stop manufacturing or re-writing history here to suit their narrative. I fully agree with the person who commented above here about the importance of remembering that we are Zelemus, rather than Bhacas. That’s what I was told too while growing up.

mmh … i truly agree with you chiya wohlanga … Pondos did over power the zulu kingdome they wouldn’t have a chance against the zulu Kingdom and one more thing the swati language in the bhaca comes from king madzikane from his mother’s side the swati language was not introduced to the bhaca by king Ncaphayi it comes from king Madzikane’s mothers side

If we really hypothesis that indeed Shaka’s army perished as a result of the snowfall as an act of nature rather than as a result of iintelezi and the rituals that Madzikane is said to have performed while the fight was on then why didn’t his army too also perished? This clearly confirms that intelezi ka Madzikane was at play whether we like it or not. Remember, this was snow and it should have fallen on all the warriors including that of Madzikane’s and Shaka’s, I personally think we are being hypocrites by being completely dismissive of the effectiveness of the Madzikane’s magic role in the defeat of the Shaka’s warriors. Again it is complete nonsense that there was no battle at eNtsizwa between Shaka and Madzikane and that people are manufacturing stories, this story is well embedded in the oral traditions of the older generation in the area of both Mount Frere and Mount Ayliff that has been passed from generation to generation.

On another note remember, Shaka himself the son of Senzangakhona was not a Zulu as he was the founder of the Zulu nation or kingdom so in a way he could not be credited for having founded something that already existed.

      Dear Mr/ Mrs Sebenzile Mlaza.
Thanks for your views you had shared in this page, but try to write something that is existing / life, because people that are reading our views are seeking for really history. Point of correction, King Shaka was a really a Zulu man. King Shaka was never be defeated by any Nation. So stop writing something that you not sure with because you leading people astray. Most of these things are written down so please try to get them correctly. Bhaca Nation is a Nation like other Nations in SA, is also rich in thier Language and Culture. So no need to call AmaBhaca as Xhosas or Zulus, are independent by their own. So King Zwelonke Sigcau must stop counting AmaBhaca as his people/Xhosas, because even at Eastern Cape many Kings/ nations that are not Xhosas, that is why we find Mpondos, Mpondomisa, Thembus and other Nations. The King indicates the Nation, land, language and culture. Can not be five Kings in one Nation. Bhaca got their Kingdom, Mpondos got their King too and Thembus got King Buyelekhaya. So now how King Zwelonke Sigcau cleam to be a king of Xhosa kings like Jesus.

This topic should go by the title “To The Known Proband”

        Dear Mr/Mrs TJ

Starting with the subject of King Shaka leaving his half-brothers out of the equation for the sake of retaining sanity of “staff-riders.”

First, Black people, like their Hamitic predecessors never had surnames which the word surname is self-explanatory – surplus name. Surnames were fostered on Black people by missionaries-cum-colonizers.

        U-Shaka ka-Senzangakhona; u-Senzangakhona ka-Jama; u-Jama ka-Mkabayi … … …
Prof. Nyembezi can take it farther.
My father would tell me thus far to commensurate with the size of my mind.
